Can you grow culinary herbs and medical herbs together

Northern Lake County, IL(Zone 5a)

I'm trying to plan a garden in the front yard and was wondering if I can grow them together?

Yes- tho some things like basils cross so easy you get them tasting strange, if you do a bit of research and find out which ones are kissing kin then you know to keep them apart.. But shouldn't be a problem otherwise

Hm, I always kind of assumed most 'culinary herbs' are in fact, medicinal as well and one in the same.
Basils, Rosemary (anti inflammatory), Sage, Thyme, Chamomile. Aren't all said to possess medicinal purposes
that have been used for thousands of years? Just my take on it. But I agree about Basil tending to suck up the
flavor of whatever it's planted next to.

Yes that's why basil in the tomato patch is a perfect spot!!! most herbs are or have been used medicinally as well as culinary.
