As in this? We were very interested in seeing this sign in the window of a small market in Foix; Casino is a chain throughout France, or at least in the Southwest. It says "Casino products are made without GMO ingredients - that's our commitment since 1996":
Yes, GG - the Europeans realized sometime ago that GMO products are not something they wish to consume. At least, not without it.
There's a lot on the web about Séralini's rat experiment. The GMO interests are jumping all over him, and they've managed to co-opt a good part of the European science groups as well because so many of those involved have some ties to GMO-producing companies.
It was such a shame that Prop 37 got defeated.

Yes, it made me very sad.
Washington groups are collaborating to pass a ballot initiative (I-522) that would require all genetically engineered foods sold in Washington to be labeled as such.
