Another Win For Me!

You guys are going to HATE ME (probably do already!)...
But I just got emailed that one of my dahlia pictures won the DG photo contest! I didn't get many votes (I didn't vote for myself), but very few people seem to know that the prettiest (IMHO) flowers are in the Tubers/Corms classification!
Here's to dahlia "Rawhide"- it can't take a bad picture, it is such a beautiful flower. I just clicked the camera button & sent it in!

Congratulations! It's a beauty!

I collect minerals and belong to The Boston Mineral Club. Last night was our annual self-collected competition. I spent DAYS preparing specimens, and I didn't win a thing (0 out of 8 categories!!). It was nice to have a victory w/ dahlias when i got home!!!!

What an interesting hobby. I just like rocks that appeal to me based on color and shape. I bring them home from trips and put them around my pond.
