OH!! I am so happy for you! I have wanted some for years, but DH is not willing to be tied down to a farm. :( They are wonderful animals!! Are they the only two you have? Are you new to raising alpacas? Well, have LOTS of fun with them!! :)

Glenda, we have 9 as of today. We had a little boy hit the ground this am.
We are new to alpacas here on our place. We have had 2 boarded for a few years but now have our own place for all our critters.

I have a friend who has a llama and I used to love to pet him - he had such beautiful eyes and was so soft. Then one day he decided he didn't like me and started spitting! Do alpacas spit too?
Alpacas sometimes spit (more like a spray usually) at each other if they are positioning for the food bowls at feeding time.
Rarely do they spit at a human for no reason. I've heard llamas are more likely to just spit at you.
