Souterastern Citrus Expo

Kure Beach, NC(Zone 9a)

Who is going to this Expo in Myrtle Beach, 11/16-17? It's all about growing citrus in this region. I will be there Friday afternoon thru Saturday morning.

Enjoy the citrus expo, Barb! I'm sorry I can't attend and finally meet you. Stan's satsumas are growing out in the open, in cold, rural zone 8a. This should be a fascinating, informative event, and you should be able to grow some great citrus on your island! Please update us upon your return, and don't get in trouble.

I am sitting here fussing because I can't go either. Be sure to go on the tour to the private garden (I think it is on Pawleys Island,) I understand it is wonderful.

Have a great time.

I'll try to have fun without y'all!
I'm getting ready to head out soon. I'm bringing a friend who just moved into a house with a fabulous backyard that's just crying out for a few citrus trees.....

My ponkans are showing some color. There is far less fruit on the tree this year than last, which was a bumper crop, but there is still plenty.

It was a lot of fun and very informative.
We bought a Camellia sinensis (my friend loves tea and this is what was grown in the South when tea from England was so very expensive back in the 1700's), two kiwi (a male and a female) and Taiwana lemon.
