Kaka (Nestor meridionalis)
Very cool. Very different looking than parrots I`m familiar with. Considering its rarity, it must be a pleasant surprise.
It was a thrill - the smaller bird landed in my Albizia tree on 27 July 2010,
and the larger bird landed on the same tree two days later.
The shots are not great, but it's all I've got of them!
The shots look fine to me and I appreciate you've shared them. I can't get over the uniqueness of this bird.
