From vases to lamp

Central FL, FL(Zone 9b)

I wanted a blue and white lamp, but I didn't want to have to shop for one. I had a vase that I thought would make a pretty lamp, but it was too short. I found a smaller vase I had stored away, and upended it in the opening of the larger one, where it nestled perfectly. This created the exact height I needed for a reading lamp next to a sofa. It was a lot more satisfying to make a lamp from things I had on hand than it would have been to drive to several stores searching for one (possibly without success). I'm sure it was also cheaper.
