Greetings!
This Saturday, October 6th is Bluestems and Blujeans: Native Plant Sale and Family Day at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens.
Here's a link for info on the event: http://botgarden.uga.edu/eventdetails.php?id=13
And here's a link to the tremendous list of plants available at the sale: http://botgarden.uga.edu/docs/conserve/salcatalog.pdf#
In addition, they just had small herd of Privet eating sheep delivered - and sheep, of course, have entertainment value of their own....
Enjoy!
Photos of the sheep and of Georgia Aster (Symphyotrichum georgianum).
Native Plant sale on 10/6 @State Botanical Garden in Athens
Oh how wonderful! We only have a large herd of vegetable eating deer. Thanks especially for including the plant list.
Oh wow.....wish I had known ahead of time...I would have made plans to go.
Unfortunately I am not able to make it either. I wish I'd known earlier. We should try to be more aware of their sales. They are on a regular schedule.
I'm sorry I didn't post it earlier, but the sale wasn't on my radar until I was at the Botanical Garden on Thursday for a Fall Wildflowers class (which was excellent, by the way).
I'll try to pay more attention in the future - both so I can post sales earlier but so I can attend, too!
BTW, that plant list is great, isn't it?
Fantastic! I'm hoping maybe some others can take advantage of this.
