Dying (?) Bloodgood Maple

Wellborn, FL

Last year, bought beautiful Bloodgood(?) maple from reputable nursery.Planted it in dappled shade, well drained soil. Leaves soon began to all turn green and fall off. Many tiny dead branches. Now naked. Picture is at planting time.

Drought and/or heat. Florida is too far south for a plant like this that likes cool conditions, they prefer the climate somewhere like New York or Boston.

The nursery really should have known this and not sold them in Florida, I reckon you have a good case for getting your money back.
