Hi everyone,
This probably sounds dorky, but I recently found out Gordon Ramsay's favorite chilli is of the "Little Elf" variety. I like to cook, but don't grow much edibles in my garden yet. Since I now have a house with a yard, I'd really like the first food-plant I try to grow be my favorite chef's best loved chilli - especially since he uses chillis in nearly every dish I've ever seen him make, AND the plant is beautiful!
Do any of you lovely chilli collectors happen to have a plant specimen with which they might let go? I could check your want lists to see if I have any ornamentals you might want in my collection to trade (I don't have everything I have active on my "have" list.)
Thank you!
Looking for "Little Elf" chillis...
Did anyone ever send you any info? There are many a good place for peppers seedsofchange.com peppergal.com and they have a ton of diff varieties
Wow! Little Elf is an ornamental pepper not recommended for eating. Unless you kidding us?
It is edible as are most ornamental peppers. quite hot but usually not much flavor other than heat. Little Elf is widely available. http://www.bountifulseeds.com/en/capsicum-annuum/68-little-elf-chilli-pepper-seeds.html?id_product=68 http://www.reimerseeds.com/little-elf-hot-pepper-hungary.aspx http://www.tomatogrowers.com/Hot-Peppers/products/17/5/0
I had noticed it's like 3x hotter than most peppers, thanx Farmerdill
