Now that it is fall, our nights are beginning to get pretty cool. I lost a number of plants this past spring when the temperatures dipped at night. Nowhere near freezing, it was probably in the low 40s. I lost a number of plants that had been lovingly tended during the winter. So did the garden centers.
I'm sure the neighbors got a chuckle watching me bring coleus indoors tonight. Some are just sitting on the front porch in a protected area.
I will have to be sending cuttings soon.

Take heed: coleus plants are sensitive to cold.
40's are not good for the plants. Some struggle and make it but others show damage right away with leaves dropping off.
