I would like to add some clematis to my garden, but would like some advice. Please name your favorite clematis by color and post pics if you have them.

For red I'd select Ruutel (on left) or Niobe (on right) - collage #1
Purple - Jackmanii on left, Multi Blue (upper right), The President (lower right) - collage #2
Dark Pink - Ville de Lyon (left) or Vino (right - photo credit to Carla/GW) #3
White - Candida (left) or Duchess of Edinburgh (right) #4
One more white, which could be overwhelming due to its monster size, is the aptly named montana Grandiflora - last photo.

Nice suggestions! I would add Princess Diana and Mme Jula Correvon to dark pink list. They are reliable and prolific bloomers
For red I would choose Rebecca, and for the blue my favorite is Daniel deronda. Right now Ruutel is putting our some new flowers but they are small, waiting for the new clems to bloom the first time , but my have to wait till Spring. Etelka
