I have a huge heirloom tomato plant that still has quite a few green tomatoes on it. It was producing nice, large red tomatoes up until a couple of weeks ago...then it stopped producing ripe ones. I'm new to growing....does anyone know why the plant stopped ripening?

I suspect that it is because we had such a streak of very hot temperatures during which there was no fruit set, right now you are paying the price. Soon you should be harvesting again.
