which are the best tasting fuchsia berries?

Albany, OR

We nibbled a few berries while trimming fuchsias back this week... some favorites:

Troubador

Not so much... (i.e. bland)
More Applause

Other suggestions for tasty varieties?

Had no idea any part of fuchsias are edible! Cool! You could decorate food plates with them or salads... Of course, i don't have any fuchsias at the moment. But it's about time to buy some for the cooler weather here (starting in Oct, if we're lucky!).

I tastes my first fuchsia berry this spring. Quite tasty. Don't know what kind it was besides hanging pink.

The best tasting berry I have tried so far, even better than boliviana which produces big bunches of black berries, was on the Gartenmeister Bonstedt. It is was of my least favorite fuchsias, I thought it was boring, until I tasted the berry. It has a very floral taste. Now I must grow more!
