Bad Omen? Gulf Fritilarry Cats in July?

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Hmmm .. I saw a Gulf Fritillary cat 2 days ago and noticed butterfly laying eggs today .. In looking back at my pictures of them, they were all taken in late September and October .. could this possibly be a presage of an early and hard winter? Anyone else seeing them?

Haven't seen one here yet X...thanks for the early warning!

Saw another cat today!

I would just think that like my garden, they're ahead of schedule.

At least, I hope so...

Hope that's the case!

I've had the GF butterflies and cats on my passion vine for the past six weeks, but not a huge lot of them. Very few black swallowtail butterflies this year, I only had maybe a dozen cats on my parsley plants. Disappointing butterfly year.....
