Some folks on another hosta thread suggested this to me to replace Frances Williams. It looks gorgeous, but the Monrovia site says it needs constant moisture. (None of the other sites I looked at said anything about this.)
So, does anyone grow this and, if so, do you find it especially thirsty?
Olive Bailey Langdon and Water Needs?
Wish I had space and I would grow it. Hope you get better answers.
Mine is large and gets watered when others do. It is not treated special. In this heat all of my hostas have been geting more water than nature has provided. May reach 100 here today but so far everything is still looking good. Got two inches of rain Monday night. Sigh.

Mine is putting up with the heat pretty well, and does not get any extra water. Today was 100° just like most days.
@Hostages (very clever) and Rose:
Thanks for the info. I do have some soggy spots, but it's replacing the [vanished/ugly] F. Williams that I am aiming for, so a constant need for water would be a problem.
