water maintenance for a small water garden. no fish involved

Tacoma, WA

I remember seeing a post regarding chemical or organic water purifers to keep the water from becoming green or mucky. Plants will be in pots set among pebbles. I can no longer find the original post. Thanks for anyones help.

I think a litle bleach would work. There's a Dunk-It (or similalar name) that keep mosquito larva at bay. kb

How big is your pool? I have a very small one, about 10 or 12 gal. I just add fresh tap water to it daily. So far so good. It evaporates fast in this heat. I have 3 fish in it.

Vickie, I didn't know you had a pool!

Carrie. It's a very small portable pool of faux rocks I bought at Atwoods several years ago.I have 3 fish in it and all kinds of birds come to drink there lately. It could have a small waterfall but I'm too lazy to maintain the pump.I've had it in the house in the winter time. Might do it again this year.
