We had a Red-Breasted Nuthatch at the feeder today. I could not believe it. I love seeing a new bird. GW and I are going back to the cemetary tomorrow to see if we can't get a better pictrue of the Pileated Woodpecker.

What a treat - Red-Breasted nuthatch! We have a Pileated Woodpecker in residence - what a character - he has a personality just like you'd think by his looks! I have pictures of him in my journal , but only from a distance (no digital camera yet). Our other favorite birds in residence are the Red-Shouldered Hawks - we watch the fledglings every year.
