To Trade for other marigold and columbine (blues) I don't have. Particularly looking for a Tall Red heirloom marigold. (if there is one). I have a really tall yellow variety I love and would love to have a tall red. No orange marigolds please.
1. Marigold 'Snowball - 1 Pack of 25 seeds - For some reason these do not readily germinate as easy as most marigold.... so be patient. Beautiful!

CLOSED: HAVE: Marigold 'Snowball' - Few Named Columbines
I dont have a trade"for ya" but I remember a more red than orange marigold during the 1960s They were about 15 inches tall. So such a thing did or does exist. GOOD HUNTING!!
Wow! I sure hope I find some...
Kim:
Would love some the Marigold snowball seeds. I have pink and purple columbine seeds - not sure of the variety. Or if you see something else on my list, let me know.
Burpee's sells a tall red one called 'Cottage Red'.

Thanks for this info...I might like these too. They look just like the 'scarlet starlet' I grow. But it doesn't get 30 inches so it does make them different. Cracker jack is very tall and i have the bright yellow and the orange. I was hoping there's a red like that too ;-)
I got my original pack of snowball from Burpee's years ago and just bout another pack because I stop saving the seeds. 1 pack of seeds will cost you $11.90 by the time you check out...makes me cringe.
Long way from 5 n 10 cents we use to pay for such when I started. I will keep an eye out for the "BIG TOP' Cracker Jack" red Marigold , only like was said before I don't have the slightest idea of where to look. So many plants have come and gone over years.
This is so True...I received some seeds from someone here 8 years ago. I just sowed them 3 days ago and every last one germinated in 3 days :-). I never throw any seeds away that I plan on using. I wont trade them because of all the hype of "FRESHNESS" but this is how I bring back many plants. Also I keep my seeds in the fridge....
I have seed from many columbines. There are several from a tall dark blue. Of course there is no guarantee that the seeds will not have been hybridized with other color columbines, but they come from tall and healthy stock so chances are they will still be blue.
