San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

I am surrounded by all these beautiful Rhodies and I don't have a one. Boo hoo hoo.

Nice and happy looking shrubs. Hee hee hee! I feel your pain. It would be nice if you could do something like buy a rhody and have the neighbors take care of your shrub for you? Nah. Not a chance. Oh well. Invite them for coffee and pie and discuss how they take care of theirs. Take your time and wait until you find THE one shrub that you really like!

The only thing about Rhodies that I don't like is that they blooming time is too short then they are bare again.

The most you can do is to plant multiple shrubs with different blooming times. No quite what you want though but it is something.

I just returned from our cabin in western NC. I took a not so clear pic of this Agastache Red Fortune and caught a view of some of the native Rhododendrons blooming in the background.
