a few blocks from my home, but, I haven't been able to find any lilacs listed as able to grow in my area.... The flowers did smell very sweet.... This row of bushes looks like it's been there for awhile.
(My area used to be zone 9a or 9b,
but with the changes in temperature the past few years,
I'm not sure what it is anymore.)

Is this a Lilac? If so, which one? A row of it is growing
There's an identification forum here on DG - post your query there - those people are great!
Looks like a butterfly bush.
Oh, geeze, Debi - I can see that now! LOL
