My compost is quite moist and dense - beautiful for pots and garden, but I'm not sure if this is healthy for the worms (I've read how this doesn't allow enough oxygen into the dirt?...). Should it be looser/fluffier? When I add food I try to mix the dirt with a hand trowel so that it's not so compact, but I'm afraid of killing the worms, so is there a different tool or way to do this? Thanks!
What should texture of compost in the bin be?
