Any ideas as to what might have happened to 'Regal Splendor'? I discovered her condition yesterday. The lupin beside RS is ailing as well. I don't think it's foliar nematodes because the damage extends across veins. The lupin does not have aphids to which they are prone. 'Bressingham Blue' and 'Blue Angel' near RS each have one crispy leaf edge.
Did RS suffer from a lack of water while we were gone for the week end? Is this due to a lack of nutrients? She is competing with spruce trees. Did I do wrong by using Miracle Grow when I hand watered because my husband had turned off the irrigation system to treat the dandelions in the lawn.
Have any of you seen this before. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How do I treat this?
Well I know hosta's do like more water that other perennials and the blues do not like a lot of sun, just a little morning sun. It looks like too much sun or not enough water and I do have one that looks like that but I did nothing because it was just an extra one.
Thanks for replying Virginiarose. I posted this question on another website too. A reply that I received there said the same thing ... stressed because of a lack of water. I was advised to yank the offending leaves.
That's a good idea, I do the same thing. :)
