Have you seen this azalea?

We visited my daughter down in Washington, DC two weeks ago and saw this plant on the grounds of the National Cathedral. I was intrigued by the pure randomness of the flower colors. My DD and I determined it was one plant that produced flowers ranging from all white to all pink with random pink/white combinations in between. Has anyone here seen azaleas like this before? It was a low plant and at peak bloom and a late bloomer because Washington's peak azalea season was past. It is the most unusual azalea I have ever seen and I would love to know more about it.

It may be one of the Satsuski Az's which often throw off flowers that are segmented, different colors, and dotted.

This one was wild pitching flowers all over the place!

Thanks for your tip. I found out that it is indeed a Satsuki azalea. They have bonsai ones in the National Arboretum with similar color patterns. It's just an amazing plant.
