large narrow leafed hosta

Charlotte, VT

I'm going to participate in the hosta swap and I was wondering what is the largest hosta with spikey or long and narrow leaves.

You can always search on Don Rawson's list of Narrow-leaved Hostas, look at the registration size from the Host Registry, and look at the pics from the Hosta Library. =)

Most of them tend to be small or medium. I know that of the ones I have, 'Pineapple Poll' and 'Pineapple Upsidedown Cake' should be medium mounds and 'Elvis Lives' should be large. Here's a pic of 'Elvis Lives' from last summer only a couple months after I brought it home in a 4 inch pot.

That list of Don's is three years old.

The updated version for 2012 can be found here.

Thanks, now I've got some research ahead of me.
