i have noticed a LOT more of my daylilies having split pistils, even first thing in the morning. more of them will split later in the day. so, i was wondering what is the deal? i have always had some splits, but this year it seems like a high percentage. a big problem when you are trying to dab a bit of pollen around!
oh, btw, the pic has a normal pistil!

I have noticed a lot more this year too. These were all from yesterday.
