speckles!

Got this one from someone local who did not know what it is. Any ideas?

Which class. Rather small flower for a tall bearded. What type is blooming now. It could be a historic iris.

I looked through all of HIPs gallery with no matches. It's indeed older looking (small flower). Stands 30-33" tall and has purple-based foliage.

also a yellow with a plicata background. that would take research by someone who can read pedigrees. Of course, it may be a seedling, but it should have been in commerce.

Thanks Iris for your input. I doesn't matter to me if it is named or not. but just in case I have some long lost cultivar. LOL.
