Do those of you who water young plants (tomatoes) by bottom watering continue to do this after you've potted them up to a much larger container (3 gal) or is that unnecessary as long what watering done from the top runs out the drain holes? I tried bottom watering them only and I don't think that is working so I added from the top but now think I've over-watered them.

I'd water from the top once you have them in a bigger pot--that'll help flush salts out of the soil plus it seems like it would be more efficient.
