Yaupon Holly ...Weeping Tree

Hull,Ga, GA(Zone 8a)

Hi all,
I have two Yaupon Holly weeping trees planted in my front yard, about 10 to 12 feet. I am having a hard time finding out what type of fertalizer to use on them. Do I use an acid, like holly, or a regular fertalizer? Thanks in advance...Cathy

Yaupons tend to grow well in less than ideal soil. You may not need to fertilize them. If you must then look for a product called Holly Tone.

I have raised them for years...and only feel the need to place a little compost around the roots of the plants during early spring to encourage bloom...but then I have also gone several years without composting because the weather dictates the bloom cycle...and I am always behind the eight-ball for Texas weather....

Thanks for the info!
