Hi, I'd be interested in Chocolate sunflower, Ipomoea shibouri, Dierama, and Codonopsis lanceolata, I have hardy Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata; limited quantity), Passiflora lutea, Hog Peanut vine (in the sweetpea family) and mixed sunflowers (all colors but mostly rust, red, orange, etc). You can also check out my trade list. Thanks in advance. Judy Showers

Hi got a few questions...
Are you growing the Dierama in your z6 garden and did you start it from seed yourself or collect from store bought plant?
Is Anthemis tinc. Kelway the light yellow or the deep yellow variety? I'm personally wanting the light colored one?

Got lots to trade....

Kathy, I can start them in my attached greenhouse if they need a longer growing season. I have a 10 X 22 that my DH built for me out of old storm windows & cement blocks. It has served me well for 15+ years now & I enjoy many happy hours playing in it. I don't have dierama but I saw you had it & anthemis on your have list. Whichever is the prettiest Anthemis would be ok with me. I looked up the codonopsis lanceolata and the flowers on that vine are really pretty. Oh I forgot to ask, from which tribe do you hail? And thank you so much for sharing. Judy Showers

Good morning. I would like to trade for Rhodochiton atrosanguineum- Purple Bell Vine 1 pk from trade. Please dmail me. Thanks!

Kiowa, CO(Zone 5b)

Buttoneer, yes I have started the Dierama this season (from seed ), am wanting to know if anyone has grown them in their Z6 garden and did they overwinter? They are listed as a Z7 and up...but sometimes there's a fudge factor involved.....lol...
Yup am growing the Anthemis, I needed more for my garden but am still attempting to obtain the light lemon yellow varitety.....and or the white. (The one I have is the gold, growing in my duaghter's garden and wanted some for myself this year...note they also reseed into the garden, from my experience).

Pix: Hesperis matronalis (common-False Phlox), my garden last spring, yum it smell good too

Kathy we have the same flower growing here in Pa, but we call it sweet rocket or dames rocket. It grows wild along the roadsides in Pa during the spring & one year, many years ago, I dug up a plant and planted it at home. From that time on, it reseeded all over & I just let it grow wild all over my yard, wherever it wants to, and when it gets seeds on it, I scatter the seed all over, hoping for more.

Carlisle, PA(Zone 6b)

Maybe later in the spring, I could send you an orange Roadside lily that also grows wild here in Pa. The next door neighbor has them growing wild around our mailboxes and they are true doubles. Why, I don't know but when they come up, I could dig one up & send it to you for a trade for something else you might have growing native to where you live. Let me know & Thanks. Don't forget Kay in Fla, she wants that purple bell vine which would probably grow as a hardy perennial where she lives, lucky girl.

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Judy, thanks - you could move here and be my neighbor!

Carlisle, PA(Zone 6b)

Kay, with pleasure, but my DH wouldn't like it. Too hot in the summer & no place to find gold, but he could use his metal detector on the beaches and Ga isn't that far to go prospecting for gold. I've wanted to move to Fla for years but as long as my DH is alive, it ain't happening. But, I told him to set his calendar for 2014 because WE ARE taking our 21 foot camper to Florida & stay down there the entire month of March to make up for all the years he's been promising to take me there again. I believe we have been there 3 times in the 35 years we been married & that is wayyyyy too long but he has no hesitation to drive 6 hours to Va every month & spend a week down there prospecting for gold. It's MY turn in 2014. Judy

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Judy, you're a big girl - put on your big girl panties and FLY DOWN HERE BY YOURSELF - we'd have a blast!

Carlisle, PA(Zone 6b)

Well Kay, if I ever get that mad at him., I promise you I WILL.

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL!!! Just dmail me to warn me and COME ON DOWN!

Carlisle, PA(Zone 6b)

Ok, you got a deal, but I'd have to drive down so I could bring down a couple of my beloved plants and all my button jewelry & inventory so I could continue to do craft shows.

Sorry I am so late getting intouch with you. PC virus... ugh! The Anthemis is from a trade and the flower is a bright yellow(in between light and deep). I've set it aside for you, if you still want it.

Hello Judy,
Sorry about the wait in getting back to you, PC virus. Um... I no longer have any Chocolate sunflower. The Ipomoea shibouri is in a mix with 'Aomurasakizyouhantenshibori' & 'Kniola's Black Knight'. I do not have them sepperate. I have the Dierama and Codonopsis lanceolata. I set the Anthemis aside for Kay, but if she doesn't want it, you may have it. I just need to hear back from her. I would love to have some Hog Peanut vine.

Just wondering you would trade with me. I am interested in your: Anthemis tinc, Dierama, Cuphea 'Firecracker', Cuphea purpurea, Coreopsis tinctoria- Dwarf Red Plains Coreopsis, and Lagurus ovatus. Please see my Haves list to see if I have anything that you'd like to try. Much of what I have are Zone 6a natives.
