I photographed a lot of birds that I never normally see, so having a hard time with ID. They were all photographed in the south tip of Texas.
1 and 2 = same bird, some type of Oriole

Oh, my! Resin, thanks so much for going through all of those! I really appreciate it! I'm still puzzled on two of the black birds (3 and 7). They were smaller than a common grackle, so I thought Brewer's. I think #6 was bigger than a common grackle, so probably is the Boat-tailed.
Baja Blue, Thank you! I got some of these at the Sarita Rest Stop, and the Tropical Parula at Santa Ana NWR, but most were taken at South Padre at the Convention Center. They dropped out after that bad weather on Monday. There were birders and photographers everywhere. It was my first time to chase birds during Spring Migration and now I'm spoiled. What a thrill. I will add them into bird files if I can figure out what I need to do to make it happen.
The Valley is the stomping ground
of my youth and I have so many
wonderful memories including
all the wildlife and plants.
Wish I could go to one and see the
birds ( I am now blind) for all intents
and purposes ) so this was the next
best thing to being there. :)

At this very moment I am watching 2 great american fly catchers preparing to nest in one of my bird houses in front yard.
Been 2 years since they nested here and hatched out babies. I'm working on a job (making sofa cushions) but can see them from where I sit at my sewing mach. I have been a drapery workrm. for 30 yrs. and really ready to retire and watch the birdies and other animals we have on our place.
I and husb. built a koi pond and I'm headed for a second much larger one. 3,000 gal. I showed some koi this year and it is very interesting. Didn't realize it was such a popular hobby. Don't want to be a breeder but sure enjoy watching them. The only drawback is desease than sweeps thru a whole pond quickly. I learned a lot more this year. My son and I love to visit plant nurseries and koi farms.
You are so lucky to see all those beautiful birds. Your photos were superb.

BajaBlue, I am so happy that you enjoyed my photos. I hope and pray that you will keep what sight you have left. My sister is losing her sight to wet macular degeneration, so I know how devastating that can be. Take care!

Resin is on target. Great pics Eden! I live close enough to S Padre to go to a bird "dropping" and have gone but I've never been as lucky as you. Thanks for sharing.
A bird dropping? I've never heard of such a thing.
I figured you just put a feeder in your back yard or something.
