Dr. Robert Gilman aka Doc Gilman, co-founder of Hartle-Gilman Gardens passed away this week in Minnesota. He and his work will be greatly missed.

I read this on the lilium yahoo serve a while back (as you may know, it has some amazing people on it). I know that Faraway Flowers had a very special relationship with him, and he was prominent in the North Star Lily Society. He must have been a wonderful person.
