White Hyacinth

Orange Beach, AL(Zone 9a)

I bought a couple of "Easter" Hyacinths at Walmart the other day. I want to plant them in the yard. Do I need to cut the flowers off first? Will they need to be divided prior to planting them? I live on the Gulf Coast (zone 8) is full sun still appropriate for them? Any other tips, tricks, or secrets I need to know?

I am also planting Tulips...yes, i know a little late, but what the heck. Any advice there?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3b)

No, you don't need to cut the flowers or divide them (chances are there is only one bulb per pot anyway). Full sun would normally be appropriate but those who garden in your zone can comment on whether dutch hyacinths and tulips will do well there without the chilling period they'd get in colder zones.
