What is eating my lilyturf?

Does anyone know what critter normally eats lily turf (lirirope)? I have ~12 plants in the yard and each morning I've been coming out to find the foliage on another one eaten down to the ground. I put them in last fall and never had a problem before 2 weeks ago. The critters we normally find in our yard are squirrels and rabbits. Once during the winter we did see deer tracks in the snow but I've never seen a deer in the garden. Any thoughts? I can't fend this guy off until I know who I'm dealing with!
