Coming up in mid March is a little early even for Daffodils. Any ideas why they're falling over? This is second year, planted bulbs fall 2010. No fertilizer added. They were fine last year.

Did you have a stormy day - wind or heavy rain - that knocked them over?
The ones that I have that are falling over are caused by canine klutzous. The dog runs through them and nails a few.
Were they planted deep enough?
