Sorry I never responded sooner to all the birthday wishes. I didn't even think to look and see if there was a thread for me. Thanks, all! I had a great day.
Went to the Barnes and Noble bookstore, which is about 40 minutes from me (I sure miss Borders!). Ordered some things I was looking for there that were not in stock and cheaper online, anyways, with free shipping. Had a snack and latte at the coffee shop (my friend Gretchen came with me).
Ended up stopping at an antique store on the way home and got 3 galvanized watering cans that will become planters, and some bottles for my new bottle tree. Cool store, chock full of stuff.
Later I went out to our local Charlie Horse for a birthday dinner, and was joined by a bunch of friends and my Dad and sister Hope.
The night before we had cake at home that my friend Gretchen made for me. It came out really nice, and was delicious!
