Went to Philly Flower show and bought several roots of eremurus. I thought that because the vendor was at that esteemed show, and only was selling two kinds of things, that my purchases were appropriate for planting this season. Conventional wisdom, though, when I got home and checked, is that you plant in fall. (I also learned that this vendor sells primarily through QVC and isn't too well thought of by DG'ers...!) I'm thinking I should go ahead and get them in the ground... (Maybe start a couple indoors in pots) and plant with the dahlias? The pamphlet I got says "plant immediately." Thanks for your input.

Help-Got Foxtail Lily but should be Fall planted
Tamar, I bought eremurus bulbs about 3 years ago from Costco in the spring. As a matter of fact, they are selling them now. I think it is the only bulb that has never produced for me. It wasn't just the bloom; there was no growth at all as far as I could tell.
