A new federal law went into effect in October requiring both homeowners and commercial operations that have water on or abutting their property (creek, lake, or just a trickle) to obtain a permit for pesticide and other pollutant use... and that includes using RoundUp. It's called the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).

You'll have to look it up because I forgot to copy the URL...
