Got this photo from a friend.....she has lost the tag and name of this variety. Anyone know the name? If she knew the name, she could find out the specific care. She said she purchased it last year and it didn't bloom till late.

Since it bloomed late in the year there are many variables contributing to a difference in color from normal bloom season time but your photo reminded me most of Bees Jubilee. You can see all the Plant Files photos of it here:

Please note the huge differences in coloring and that is quite common.
It would still be a type 2 and require pruning (only if needed) after bloom around the end of May into early June.
