Linking a website in a newsletter

I have an article that was submitted to our garden club newsletter by a member. It has a few links to other websites. When I was proofing the newsletter, I noticed I couldn't click on the link (in blue highlite) and go to the other websites. I'm using Page Plus to write the newsletter. Am I missing a step? In the word document, it works fine. 'Copy and paste the word doc into the newsletter and it doesn't work. Can anyone help?
