I made this egg and filled it with a very old painted porcelain egg that I have had for years. I am thrilled because it is also environmentally safe and non-toxic as I used homemade cornstarch as the stiffener. Yes, an egg you can eat! Well if you don't mind the 100% cotton thread (perhaps I should sugar coat them?).
