A most welcome 2''! In spite of the local weatherman's hate of rain... I LOVE it! Lorzy, we needed it! Could be a crop-saver!
We had at least 2", I found the gauge sort of tipped over to one side so it may have been even more. It was wonderful and you can see the difference already.
Downside of the winter being as mild as it has been, the sand gnats are out in force already.
What was so great for my neck of the woods was we got about an eighth of an inch 2 days before the big rains came and the ground was damp so run off wasn't a problem.
Ditto here, X! We got 2/10ths the day before, and virtually no runoff from the 2" the next day. It might just have saved this year's growing season! (Hope springs eternal!)...
