Well so much for only buying miniature orchids ... I caved in and placed a bid on a Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis seedling. I know these plants sell for a pretty penny once established and bloom sized, but I scored this guy for no more than 15$.
So my newest project (probably 5+ year project) is to raise this little stinker (literally) to blooming size!

Only the top layer is straight sphagnum. Underneath is a bark/ charcoal/ perlite/ sphag mix. The plant is still alive and doing fine.
