Hi there...
I tried this in the Florida forum and got no response, so trying here now.
I've got my eye on a cherry jubilee allamanda to plant this spring, and as I've read more descriptions about it I keep seeing that its habit is a rambling vine or 'lax shrub.'
Now, in my mind I >think< I know what that means, and am after a shrub form rather than a vine. Can someone explain it better, or even post pictures of what your definition of a lax shrub is? I'd appreciate it!!
Lax shrub?
I'd take it to mean a shrub that tends to flop down fairly easily, not holding its branches strongly up. So it won't get very tall, but might cover a fairly large area.
