Wind storms in November downed hundreds of small branches from the many oak and walnut trees in my yard. While cleaning up the mess, it occurred to me that I could use some of them to make a wreath for my front door. For Thanksgiving, the wreath was only twigs, but in early December, I added a couple sprigs of fir (cut from the bottom of our Christmas tree) and a few leaves from a neighbor's Southern magnolia, to give it a holiday look.
