I'm not a good glazer :(

Marysville, WA

I really want to save this piece and not remake it. I'm making it for a friend and am glazing it blue with white outline.

Turns out he wants a lot more white than blue. So I'm trying to wipe off the blue glaze with water and a sponge.

There are still traces of blue in the tiny cracks of the glaze. Is this ruined? Or will enough layers of white over it turn out? Can I dip the whole thing in a tub of water to just scrub it all and start over? There are a couple of other colors besides the blue and white, so I'm not sure if a full on scrub down will blend stuff and soak into the clay and do more harm than good.

Help! :(
