What do you think of this one?

I thought this was one of the prettiest dahlias I have ever grown. And it had an opposite this year as well!

I love it!

that is amazing? It looks like one from Old House Gardens, an hierloom. Do you know the name?

I had the name but now no idea what I've done with it. This one was more the burgundy and less white?

I have one called "Patches" that looks similar although the white is usually very clearly white. The red and white varies from flower to flower, sometimes it fades from white to maroon in the center. Sometimes splotches like yours. I suspect it is some sort of hybrid without fixed genes (or whatever it is called in plants -- alleles?) but it is a great plant. You never know what you will see. And my blooms are rather diminutive, 3" across at best.

Hollyhill Jester had many variations.

Thanks for the info. I figured it was some weird hybrid. I have one similar to the Jester, the tips are white.
