How do I get my rugosa rosa plants to flower? All of my plants were raised from seeds.
I have several plants over two years old and over 60 plants one year old. But I have never been able to get those beautiful and scented Rugosa Rosa flowers. Does hot weather stop flowering as I am in Perth Western Australia.
The plants in part die back in the southern winter here and then grow with new stems in spring. I use some granular rose fertilizer. All plants are in pots. As an example my oldest plant is growing very well with 8-10 stems that are about 12 inches high. I repotted this plant Fall last year.
