Winter MG blooms 2011-2012 # 1

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Great, Helena! Thanks for sharing.

There's fungus among us in the bathroom growing area... reminds me of botrytis. Plants & blooms not looking too healthy. )-:

Here's a first bloom on what's labeled Shiborizaki...

Meanwhile, on the living room windowsill, this backlit (I adjusted the brightness/contrast of the photo and just shot it with natural light because artificial lights were making it look redder than it is) lavender-blue blizzard repeat produced twins today...

Helena, I love the different look your pink no id threw. Such a pretty shade of pink too.

Nick I like both of your blooms but the lavender blue blizzard is really striking

Debra, crazy about your Red Feathers, absolutely gorgeous.

I sat down this morning next to these vines growing in elongated planters on the living room sill, ate my cereal, and contemplated their beauty. Good start to the day. (-:

Very nice. Your third pic is seriously a real show stopper.

I love sprinkling in White blooming annuals and perennials to help perk up my beds, baskets, and containers during our regular growing season from May to October, and think they lend such a pretty contrast to their companions that have colored blooms.

Now that the holiday hullabaloo is over, I finally have time to start my new MG seeds. With any luck, I'll actually have blooms inside before Spring that I can share with all of you :)

Helena, gorgeous bloom in post # ending 3429 above. Mauve splash is always a beauty

Gautier, MS

Thank you Susan, Debra and Jackie.

Susan that's a good idea that I'm going to have to try too. Right now I am germinating some old salvia seeds to grow next year too.

Debra that bloom was from Dusty Mauve but look what it's doing today!

Jackie, I thought that bloom was real nice too but not a good seed producer at all.

Dusty Mauve today.
