When I was in Florida a few years ago for the 1st time I spotted one of these. Stopped traffic right there in the road so i could take a picture! I'd never seen anything that big and loaded with purple flowers.
Stunning tree and this is a great shot of it!

It looks very similar to Wisteria that I do see often a bit north of my area. I haven't seen it around here in Central FL but reading the comments it does look like it can survive my zone. I love seeing something on Bloom of the day that I might be able to grow.
